Which browsers does Aha Translate support?
Built on the Chrome MV3 standard, it works on all Chromium-based browsers — Chrome, Edge, Arc, Brave, Opera. Firefox and Safari are coming soon.
Do I need to sign up?
No. There is no account, password or login — install it and start reading: every browser automatically gets ¥1 (≈ $0.14) of free credit. When you top up you receive a 24-character card number, which is your account credential; enter it to top up again or to use the balance on another device.
How much does the ¥1 free credit translate?
At current prices, ¥1 (≈ $0.14) covers roughly 15–20 typical web pages (estimated on an English page of about 8,500 characters, about ¥0.06 per page). The free credit is granted once per browser; after that you top up as you go — no subscription.
What is the card, and what if I lose the card number?
The card is your account: a 24-character card number generated when a top-up succeeds and kept in your browser. Enter it to top up again or to use the balance on another device. It cannot be recovered by yourself, so store it safely and never share it — anyone holding the number can spend the balance. If you do lose it, our server keeps the number: contact us with your payment proof (WeChat Pay order number or card statement) and we will recover it manually after verification.
How do I get a refund?
Top-up balance is a prepayment. To request a refund, write to us via “Contact” in the extension or at support@ahatranslate.com with your payment proof (WeChat Pay order number or card statement). After verification we refund the unused balance to the original payment method; the part already used is not refundable. Refunds are processed manually, so please allow some time.
Can it translate PDFs, images or e-books?
Not yet. For now it focuses on doing two things well — web page text and YouTube subtitles — and doesn't handle documents or images.
Which sites are supported for subtitle translation?
Only YouTube (www.youtube.com) bilingual subtitles today; other video platforms are not supported yet.
How many languages are covered?
Translate into 134 target languages; the extension interface itself is available in 11 languages.
How do I download and install it?
Install from the store in one click via the download page, or load the extension package manually (developer mode). Then open any foreign-language page and press Alt+Q.
